So a bit about the project as it stands

Hello! This is Rhianydd speaking.

To anyone who looked at this and the Lokridge Blog, thank you. Thank you for taking the time on me and ACBS. I'm just going to ramble a bit about the project here if that's something you care to hear about. Namely my thoughts and where it could go.

Right off the bat, I'm sort of cringing at the overall visaul quality of both VN and blog. I wish I had someone handle designing the blog while I could focus more on writing. Hell, I wish I had someone to help take a load off of me and write alongside me. Currently, the ever lovely Lou is going to produce much nicer assets for the VN (nicer than my emoji name tags lol) and I will update the game with those soon. Hang tight! It looks awful now, but we're working together to give ACBS a cliché High School Drama Makeover - she will be the prettiest girl at the prom soon!

As for coding and some rookie errors... Yeah that's because I was learning Python for the first time as well as making the game that I would be graded on. Word to anyone - don't do that. Or at least get a good understanding before you're supposed to do it for a grade and diploma. I'll keep working with Ren'Py and Python in general because - even when it was frustrating - it was still worth it. Though maybe I'll move to Twine - something I was initially going to use before I found Ren'Py.

Now for ACBS as a whole...

As it stands, this project needs much more than I am able to provide. Other than Lou being my artist, I did everything all on my own. The writing, the coding, the blog, the project management - everything was me. And that's too many hats to wear at once! I could even be classified as an actor because I juggled six different accounts to interact with each other. In real time! I even showboated during my final presentation by having a post go live while I was presenting!

That is absolutely bananas! That's way more than one person should ever do!

And that, is what I did!

... Unfortunately, as much euphoria and pride I get from stating the above - I can't continue on with this project the way things are. I can't keep being this overwhelmed lady wearing a tower of hats. I need a team to care about Lokridge like I do. I can't justify putting my life on hold to continue this real time pocket world. I need to get a job, I need to pay off my student loans, and I need to get better at what I do. That way I can make ACBS fit my vision perfectly with little to no personal gripes.

A City's Bloody Shadow will return some day, this isn't the end of Lokridge or its inhabitants. I have spent too long on the characters and story to abandon it like this. It might come under a new name though, ACBS is kind of annoying me as a title lol

But yeah in short; there will be an update to replace the assets I cobbled together, and ACBS will be on hiatus until I feel I have the right tools and full team to return.

Thank you for reading, hope you have a pleasant day 💖
